Solifenacin succinate
Indications/Uses
Overactive bladder w/ symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, or urge incontinence.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 5 mg once daily; if tolerated, may increase to 10 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Angioedema, drowsiness &/or blurred vision, patient w/ bladder outflow obstruction, GI obstructive disorders & decreased GI motility, history of or other risk factors for QT prolongation, patients w/ uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
Adverse Reactions
Xerostomia, constipation, edema, HTN, headache, blurred vision.
Drug Interactions
Anticholinergics, antifungal agents, CYP3A4 inhibitors.
